RCHS Athletics Wall of Fame Nominations
Nominations for new inductees to the RCHS Athletics Wall of Fame are now being accepted. There are 3 categories of nominees: SHSAA provincial champions, builders, and individual student athletes. The student category requires that the student be a graduate of RCHS who has competed in any sport at an elite level for that particular sport. The selection will not be based on championships won, but on the level of competition the athlete has competed at. Of course, each sport is different, so the staff selection committee must evaluate each nomination individually to establish induction criteria. There is no specific nomination form. All that is required for a nomination is a detailed written description of the athlete’s accomplishments including the highest levels in the sport. Nominators should also leave their names and contact information on the nomination in case the committee has questions. All nominations should be received by May 1. Nominations can come from any source(s) that is very familiar with the athlete’s accomplishments. Many past nominations have come from parents, coaches, or team managers.
